FIGHT SPORTS® LANDS CANELO/ROCKY DECEMBER 15TH
Coming off of the exciting broadcast of the WBC Heavyweight World Championship classic between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, followed by HBO’s farewell boxing broadcast headlined by longtime Female Welterweight World Champion Cecilia Braekhus, FIGHT SPORTS® ends the year with three more World Championship events.
First, on December 15th, FIGHT SPORTS® will showcase Canelo Alvarez’s move to the Super Middleweight division as he takes on WBA titleholder Rocky Fielding. Canelo returns to the ring three months after his victory over Gennady “GGG” Golovkin in a match-up of two of boxing’s best pound-for-pound fighters. Through the agreement, FIGHT SPORTS® will broadcast the event in countries that include Spain, Portugal, Indonesia, and India.
For the following weekend, FIGHT SPORTS® acquired the rights to two major events from the UK’s top two promoters.
Dillian Whyte will take on Dereck Chisora in a Heavyweight rematch, with the winner well-positioned for a shot at Anthony Joshua’s World Titles.
On the same night, Josh Warrington (27-0) and Carl Frampton (26-1) meet for the IBF Featherweight World Championship in a showdown of two of the top fighters in the division.
